Our client is a very large prominent private investment partnership located in Columbus, Ohio. This is a unique opportunity to grow within their organization performing a number interesting duties related to the strategic financial management of corporate and other investments. They are seeking an Accounting Professional to join our staff, to assist with the following (experience in all the area below are not required):
  • Financial, accounting, tax and analytical support with respect to a wide variety of private equity and other high net worth investment portfolios.
  • Preparing financial statements (balance sheet/income statement) for a variety of closely-held entities.
  • Assist in collecting/organizing data for complex income/gift tax return preparation.
  • Independent and assisted preparation of tax returns including individual/trust/partnership/gift.
  • Financial record-keeping; A/P processing; organizing and updating internal records and schedules (e.g. stock ownership, compensation schedules, interest calculations, etc.).
  • Other projects and analyses as needed.
  • Increasing levels of complexity and responsibility available as skills and tenure justify.
Prior accounting experience is required (2+ years of public accounting or 5+ years of non-public accounting).  Strong math and analytical skills, detail orientation, ability to function independently without close supervision, and the ability to multi-task and “figure things out” are all a must.  Professional presence and discretion, as well as MS Office computer skills (Word/Excel), prior tax preparation experience and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting are all required.  Prior experience with financial statement preparation, Quicken and QuickBooks are a plus but not required.
