Job Objective
The CFO role is a member of the senior management team and reports directly to the COO. This position will oversee the entire financial operation and provide strategic leadership to the organization with respect to financial matters. The CFO will work closely with all areas of the organization to drive revenue and profitability. 
Essential Functions of the Position:
  • Establish a set of financial tools to project expected and actual financial performance. Study trends and revenue opportunities; analyze organization operations; identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction and system enhancement.
  • Oversee all aspects of areas reporting to the position which include billing/intake, collections, accounts payable, cash applications, taxes, payroll, financial reporting/analysis and banking.
  • Monitor current financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiate corrective actions; minimize the impact of variances.
  • Advise Management on short and long term financial objectives, policies and actions.
  • Oversee and provide counsel on financial matters including tax issues, capital accounts and partnership agreements.
  • Manage banking relationships and other external parties with whom financial information is exchanged.
  • Provide counsel in financial related aspects of properties and facilities leased or owned by the organization.
  • Provide strategic financial input, leadership and decision-making on issues that affect the organization (i.e. growth, profitability, compensation agreements, employee benefits, pension plans and investments).
  • Supervise and ensure timely monthly and annual closing of financial statements, balance sheets, practice group reports and financial forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls, monitoring cash flow and reserve levels.
