Our client is located in southern California and is an AM Best A rated $150 million premium insurer. They are a highly regarded Personal Lines P&C Carrier with an outstanding track record and reputation for a superior culture that offers challenge, growth and work-life balance. They are seeking a personal lines product leader who can lead their personal lines claims team. They write a significant amount of homeowners/auto and related property products so expertise is preferred in those areas.  The position reports to their VP of Product and manages a small staff of product analysts and specialists. Position offers a competitive base salary, incentives and bonus.
1.Determines customer needs by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
2.Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product changes
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements.
3.Drive the ongoing advancement and planning of the 12+ month product roadmap by working with Sales, Marketing, Development & individual clients to understand future needs and opportunities.
4.Execute the product roadmap by providing direction to the product development team for product evolution and priorities, ensuring that the experience gained from external market activities, usage analysis, competitive response, and market research is reflected in future product releases
5.Define high level customer requirements for the entire customer experience including product features and functions, target markets, and pricing.
6.May develop and support alliances with key systems and content providers, integrators, e-commerce service providers and leading high technology companies to facilitate whole product solutions.
7.Assess market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products
manages customer expectations, solicits customer feedback and ensures commitments are met.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics or related area preferred.
2. Three plus years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance desired.
3. Five plus years of experience in product or services development desired.
4. Prior managerial experience preferred.
5. Experience with large datasets preferred.
