Job Summary:

The purchasing manager will provide oversite, direction, and leadership to the procurement team, and establish partner relationships throughout the organization.   They will coordinate effective procurement process and control for both internal partner needs and external vendor relationships.  This person will establish productivity review processes to help mitigate rising technology costs.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Purchasing Team in all areas of responsibility, including Vendor Relationship Management, RF(x) activity, Quoting, PO/System processing, etc.
 
  • Demonstrate excellence in managing internal customers and stakeholders with excellent collaboration skills, strong listening skills, and naturally inclusive in decision-making environments
 
  • Establish and coordinate effective workflows and controls throughout the purchasing processes and integrate best practices as a new ERP system is implemented (NetSuite)
 
  • Responsible for strategic supplier relationships that achieve cost-effective procurement decisions and overall business plan objectives
 
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers to obtain products and services at the best cost and value in order to ensure end-user needs are met; ability to negotiate delivery, terms, conditions, and pricing
 
  • Lead the development, distribution, analysis, and presentation of RFI’s and RFP’s.  Develop and manage supplier performance scorecards
 
  • Audit company-wide spending to identify areas of opportunity for cost savings, and establish ongoing productivity initiatives to mitigate rising costs.
 
Qualifications:
  • 8 + years experience in technology procurement / vendor management
 
  • Bachelors degree in business administration or technical discipline; Masters degrees preferred; CPSM (CPM) preferred
 
  • Leader with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build internal relationships
 
  • Strong negotiation skills
 
  • Possess a positive attitude, excellent communication and analytical skills
 
  • Proactive, result oriented, with a can-do attitude in meeting critical deadlines
